This dress is AMAZINGLY beautiful! It is very well made down to the smallest detail. It is true to size but in my situation (a 5’2” fuller frame and large bust), it will require a couple of minor alterations and some hemming but nothing I wasn’t expecting with any formal dress I bought. I got the dress in navy blue to wear as a Mother of the Groom dress. The wedding is less than 5 weeks away but since I live near Los Angeles, I booked a private appointment. The staff were extremely helpful and I tried on several other dresses. I initially made the mistake of leaving without the dress as I was expecting a couple of packages of dresses from an online retailer as well as one from a major upscale department store and wanted to give those dresses a try. However, none of those dresses could compare in style, fit, and quality as the May Queen 1799. I immediately reached back out to FDS and made arrangements to return and purchase the dress the following day. I cannot wait to proudly wear this stunningly beautiful dress at my son’s wedding next month. Thank you, FDS!

This gown is beautiful and well made. It hugs all my curves and the train falls beautifully. The tulle has a glittery sparkle which you can't see in the photos. Other than that, the dress looks just like the picture. I really love it and definitely recommend. It is on the longer side so be aware short girlies. Shipping was very fast! I will definitely buy from this shop again.

Purchased this for my daughter’s wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. I’m short so I did have to do some alterations. I was unsure about what size to purchase. I had a problem finding just the right dress for my Son's wedding. After receiving 6 through mail wrong colors , wrong sizes, not what was described. Well I googled and found formaldressshops.com and boys was I glad I did.
I found the perfect longsleeve mauve dress. I ordered it online and was picking up next day. I called to let them know I was coming the gentlemen who talked asked if I would like to try on it said yes. Glad I did cause the cut i needed a bit bigger on top. She got it for me and it fit perfectly. No stress just me and her in this big room with a room for changing as bog as as my bedroom. It needed tailored as the wedding for in 3 days. She called and sent me to her tailor 2 blks away. Half hour later it was done.

This gown is beautiful. Runs a little on the larger side. If you are a short girlie, this will be a lot of fabric. I am 5'4" and it absolutely swallowed me. Otherwise it is exactly as pictured and seems well made. I will have to exchange for a smaller size. I usually wear a 22. I sized up just in case and the dress is falling off of me. I actually could have gone with a 20.

Absolutely breathtaking & arrived in 5 days by fedex! Customer support was amazing when I was indecisive about size to order. The gentleman went over measurements and assured me I could exchange it if I needed to for a bigger one thankfully I don’t need to! I can’t wait to wear this for my anniversary! Measurements are true to size! The color is a light silver gray with gorgeous rhinestones all over it. It’s gonna be a showstopper for sure.
