I'd purchased a dress back in January of this year, but when I took it to be altered in August, I'd gained a few lbs., and it didn't look as flattering as when I purchased it. I came home frustrated and determined to find another dress of the same color. I searched online for about two hours and none of dresses were right. Most were frumpy or made for younger, thinner women. BUT THEN I found your website, by the grace of God, on a Google search. It was almost identical in color and also had sequins like the other dress I was going to wear, but the dress on your website was so much more! It was beautiful, elegant, age-appropriate and allowed me to be 55 and fabulous! Even though I was the mother-of-the groom, I felt like the belle of the ball! Pictures do not do this dress justice, it is gorgeous! Days later she is still getting complements. We found this dress locally but could not purchase it, and to our surprise and relief we found it online, the original dress, not a knockoff, and for a Great price! We ordered in a size that we thought was correct, but they contacted us and recommended we size down. The recommendation by the store was correct! I originally wanted a Amelia couture dress, unfortunately they ran out of my size, i spoke with Ron and he suggested another designer same style, i wasn't sure if it will be the same colour and length he took the time to put them next to each other and helped me with all me questions back and forth, i was also nervous about ordering from usa to canada, i ended up ordering at 3pm i received the dress in quebec, canada before noon the next day!!! I selected priority shipping for 2$ more! this is the best online dress shopping experience and i highly recommend!!

First let me start off by saying this dress is gorgeous! I saw this dress and knew my daughter had to have it to go with her Under the Sea themed Sweet 16! I could not find it in store and rolled the dice on ordering it online @ Formal Dress Shops. I provided my daughter’s measurements and they suggested the sizing! They were right on target!!! I ordered it and it arrived in less than 5 days!!!! Quality unbelievable!!! And I purchased at a lower cost than any other site!!!!!!! My daughter felt like a true Princess!

This dress went so well with my daughters wedding yesterday. I felt so beautiful in it. It was a tad low cut for me and I am not very big on top so I stitched it closed a bit and that made a big difference. I wore 3” heels and the dress was still long so I pinned it up so I wouldn’t keep getting my heel stuck in the fabric. But I loved the dress and so did everybody else. The photos turned out great.
The color is so perfect. I was worried because it was wrinkled from traveling in my suitcase. I used an iron in low and it ironed out perfectly. The waist tie looked good in front or in back. I opted for in back.
I had purchased 6 other dresses before landing on this one. The color on the others was very dull. This dress was perfect for the occasion.
It’s called “mother of the groom” but it was perfect for “mother of the bride”.
